NASCAR’s first trip to the Roval (half road program, half an hour ) is going to likely be at Charlotte this week and a lot is up for debate.
Will this race play similar to a road course like Watkins Glen with a number of wide open segments where drivers can get some speed, or will it play more as an intermediate track in which drivers Martin Truex Jr. and Kevin Harvick have mastered so often over the past two decades?
The truth probably lies somewhere in the center, or possibly a bit. BET Chicago says the Roval can play 33 percent like Charlotte Motor Speedway 33 percent like Watkins Glen and another 33 percent like an intermediate class.
That is a lot to digest, however this is a race where moving chalk is most likely the smartest choice. Kyle Busch loves Watkins Glen; he’s coming off of a win and he’s success on intermediate tracks. If he isn’t out ahead, he is the betting favored at 3/1 and will be stalking the chief.
